Vary Tech Debuts at 2025 Shanghai Biomass Energy Industry Exhibition, Defining a New Height of Industry Carbon Reduction with Oxygen-Free Pyrolysis Technology

From December 17 to 19, 2025, the second 2025 Shanghai Biomass Energy Industry Exhibition & Carbon Chain Ecology Summit was held in Hall W1 of Shanghai New International Expo Center, attracting more than 200 enterprises and 5,000 domestic and overseas visitors.





Vary Tech made a special booth debut with systematic solutions for biocarbon-based material industrial development. Hu Rongming, Director of the Biocarbon Industry Department and General Manager of Xinmi Vary Tech Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech themed "Market Opportunities and Innovative Breakthroughs of Biomass Black Pellets" at the Carbon Chain Ecology Summit, and displayed Vary Tech’s technological achievements in biocarbon-based material industrial development on site.





At the Carbon Chain Ecology Summit, Hu Rongming conducted an in-depth analysis that traditional biomass pellets (white pellets) have always struggled to shake off the label of "low-end fuel" due to defects such as low energy density, low calorific value, susceptibility to moisture absorption and mildew, and limited transportation radius. Traditional biomass pellets cannot enter large-scale thermal power and metallurgical industries with extremely high requirements for fuel quality, resulting in restricted industrial penetration.

The industry is in urgent need of a new type of biomass product that is as stable, high-energy, and easy to store and transport as coal, to break the ceiling of industrial growth.

Targeting these pain points, Vary Tech’s "Continuous Rotary Kiln Type Carbonization Equipment for Torrefaction + Dry Distillation" displayed at the exhibition attracted a large number of domestic and foreign customers.



Vary Tech’s drying and carbonization combined continuous rotary kiln carbonization equipment relies on independently developed oxygen-free pyrolysis and carbonization technology, streamlining the complex traditional 10-step process into 3 steps and shortening the production cycle from more than 20 days to 3 days. The entire preparation process of biocarbon pyrolysis is carried out in a closed system, with pyrolysis gas recycled and reused, which can save 30% of energy and 20% of raw materials.



The calorific value of the carbonized "black pellets" can be increased to over 5,000 kilocalories, with energy density increased by 35%—40% compared with white pellets. The black pellets also possess excellent hydrophobicity and grindability, realizing an essential leap from "agricultural fuel" to "industrial energy".



Vary Tech’s strength in the industrialization of biocarbon has not only gained wide recognition in China, but also attracted the attention of international industry authorities. As the only Chinese member unit of the International Biomass Torrefaction and Carbonization Council (IBTC), Vary Tech’s large-scale industrial production line has won high praise from IBTC Chairman Michael Wild.

Meanwhile, Vary Tech’s global expansion drive is accelerating significantly: in October 2025, Vary Tech debuted at Pollutec 2025, a world-leading environmental and energy technology exhibition, where Vary Tech’s biocarbon-based material industrial development and waste plastic chemical recycling system services became the focus of the exhibition; in early December, Vary Tech’s French partner brought the same system services to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and triggered extensive attention at the European Biocarbon Summit 2025.

The consecutive in-depth participation in two top European environmental protection and energy events not only attracted many international customers to stop and negotiate, but also demonstrated to the world the core competitiveness of China’s oxygen-free pyrolysis technology in addressing global climate challenges.
Based on a global perspective and returning to industrial implementation, Vary Tech plans to promote a biocarbon-based material industrial development project in Hunan in 2026, to further unleash the advantages of technological production capacity.
